Earth, light and time

Earth – Light – Time is an artistic–ecological project that connects the principles of permaculture with photography and various visual techniques. At its core lies the idea of translating a mindful and sustainable engagement with nature into artistic processes, and making the relationship between earth, light, and time perceptible.

In the permaculture garden, we work closely with the natural environment. Our materials—photography, cyanotype, printmaking, drawing, and painting—respond directly to local conditions and to the changes brought by the seasons. The garden thus becomes an open field of experimentation, where unexpected impressions emerge and where we continually adapt our working methods to processes of transformation.

Earth – Light – Time understands the garden as an urban refuge, a place of growth, change, and the interplay of different life forms. The project seeks to make permaculture more visible and to inspire new perspectives on the relationship between humans, nature, and the city.

Ongoing project in cooperation with Gerhard Kurtz and Permakultur Dortmund e.V.
